Start With Bike brings over 25 years of cycling expertise to Calpe, offering professional bike rentals and servicing for road and mountain bikes. Choose from high-performance models like the Giant TCR Advanced (from €23 per day for a week) or Pinarello Paris, all maintained by mechanics who work with UCI cyclists. The workshop handles Di2, AXS, and EPS repairs, plus bike assembly or packing within an hour. Three challenging routes—Vall de Ebo (86 km), Castell de Castells (79 km), and Guadalest/Orba (156 km)—are available with GPX downloads. We’ve just returned from a cycling trip to Calpe and hired bikes from Start With Bikes; the whole experience was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The booking process was smooth, and communication from Martin was always clear, prompt, and helpful. When we arrived to collect the bikes, everything was ready and waiting for us. Martin took the time to do a proper bike fit for each of us; something we've never experienced at other bike hire shops. This personal touch made a huge difference, ensuring the bikes were set up perfectly and comfortably for every ride. The bikes themselves – Giant TCRs and Liv – were fantastic. Fast, responsive, smooth, and above all, incredibly comfortable. We had DI2 gearing which worked flawlessly throughout the trip. Every ride felt effortless, and it really helped us enjoy the stunning scenery and perfect weather even more. We can’t thank Martin enough for providing such high-quality bikes and such exceptional service. Combined with Calpe’s smooth roads, incredible landscapes, and sunny skies, it made our trip truly unforgettable. Highly recommend Start With Bikes – we’ll definitely be back!
Thoroughly recommend Startwithbike. From start to finish the attention to detail and service we received from the lovely gentleman was superb. The bikes were brilliant (Liv Avails and Liv Lanmans) and perfect for our group, patiently and expertly set up for each of us. In fact we liked the bikes so much that two of them have returned to the UK! 100% recommend; never had such a great experience hiring bikes abroad.

For the second year in a row, we (Robert and Henk Jan) rented a bike from Start with Bike. This was after last year's positive experience. Booking went smoothly and quickly. The bikes were ready upon arrival. And after the usual bike fitting, we were properly fitted. We also weighed ourselves to ensure the correct tire pressure, and we were off on the perfect bikes for 12 days of cycling fun. After six days, we had to come back for a check-up, and everything was checked (excellent). Start with Bike is definitely recommended for anyone looking to rent a road bike. Great service, great bikes, and a great price. 👍👌
