I had the impression that it was only about the money and not the health and sound of our dog.
Absolute emergency, cat's head is stuck in a rock. My friend drives down to the vet, rings the bell, and asks for help. The vet has no empathy and says over the intercom, "Call an ambulance," but no one answers. Without animal protection, the police, and the fire department, the cat would be dead by now. A vet without empathy is in the wrong profession! I've had my animals examined and vaccinated here before. Never again!
