This is a large supermarket with wide aisles that makes for easy navigation with overladen carts. I visited this store on a Saturday afternoon. Since Spanish grocery stores are closed on Sundays, I was expecting to deal with a busy floor and waiting lines at the till. Instead, it was pretty quiet. In terms of shopping experience, this Mercadona doesn't offer anything special, it's actually very standard. The same stuff one find at Aldi or Lidl, the nearby competition. The fruits and veggies section could be smaller as it doesn't carry a great variety of produces. The baker's corner and the wines area stand out of the rest, rather boring sections. On the high side, shoppers can purchase fresly cut jamón at the well-stocked stall. On the low side, the selection of olive oil is a real disappointment. Five or six different brands to choose from. Only basic oils packed in plastic bottles. I left this store with mixed feelings and empty-handed.
