Playa Puerto Blanco in Calpe offers a quieter escape from the town’s busier beaches, with calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Sheltered by a rocky promontory and the marina’s breakwater, this 110-metre beach features coarse sand and pebbles, making it popular with families. Facilities include summer showers, foot-washing stations, ecological toilets, and lifeguards, while the nearby marina is undergoing redevelopment to expand water activities like sailing and diving. The Peñón de Ifach provides a dramatic backdrop, and the rocky seabed near Edificio Xanadu attracts marine life for snorkelling. Parking is limited, so early arrival is recommended. A nice small beach, the only downside is the slightly dirty sand and seaweed when you enter the water, but otherwise it's a very cozy place, with shade from the palm trees.
Great place to visit.
Very cool... although, too many foreigners.
The port is great for those with a boat, but the beach... it's filthy, dirty, full of plastic, black, it's disgusting to go into that water. I hope they start working on the beach when they're done with the port. I won't be going back for now.
