Casa de la Senyoreta, the Museu d’Història i Arqueologia de Calp, occupies a protected 18th-century urban manor in Calpe’s historic centre. This symmetrical two-storey building, with its dintel windows and upper cambra, spans 255 m² of exhibition space and is listed in Calpe’s municipal heritage register.
Inside, discover artefacts from the Bronze Age Cocentari site and Iberian-era Ifach Rock, alongside highlights from the Roman Baños de la Reina and medieval Pobla de Ifach. The ground floor displays marble fragments, kitchenware, gaming tokens, and 1st–6th century AD trade amphorae, while upstairs features a reconstructed church arch, a cúfic-inscribed Islamic amulet, and the “hebilla del basilisco.” Panels, 3D reconstructions, and an audiovisual projection enrich the experience.
Winter opening hours (1 October–30 June) are Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00–14:00 and 16:30–19:00; summer hours (1 July–30 September) are Wednesday to Sunday, 10:30–13:00 and 18:00–22:00. For updates, visit cultura.calp.es.

We arrived at 12:20 and it was already closed, it's supposed to close at 1:00 p.m.
I would have liked to see it, but I came from there and found it completely closed. It doesn't match the schedule on the website or the tourist information (we went at 11:30, summer time). A few people were left standing outside. And even the website says it's closing early...
The museum is no longer open?
A terrible experience, and we didn't even get in. We were standing at the door with our 2-year-old daughter, who had fallen and was crying (as usual). The museum manager came out and told us to move away because the girl was making noise (we were outside) and we were bothering her. We told her she was being a little rude, and she snapped at us without even looking at us. So, an unpleasant surprise and zero empathy for passersby. Be careful with appearances.
