Centrally located for exploring Calpe. However, the campsite is very cramped and has limited height (3.10 m wires for the sun mats).

The campsite advertises available spaces on the ACSI card, but upon arrival, they say there are no spaces available; the campsite is lying. If they don't want to hire staff, why are they offering jobs through partnerships with ACSI?

You have to let the place sink in a bit; then the enthusiasm will come. Yes, it's a city campsite, and yes, the view isn't exactly breathtaking. But you're right in the heart of things, with extremely short walks to the supermarket (across the street), the beach promenade, or one of the many restaurants. We happily extended our stay because we felt so comfortable. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and cleaned several times a day, the pitches are gravelled, perfectly level, and have a roof for the summer to keep them from getting too hot. Our only minor criticism is that on the day we arrived, we wanted to grab a bite to eat at the campsite bar, and we almost got food poisoning. That could definitely be improved.

Having spent the last few years staying in rented houses in Calpe, this year we stayed at the CalpeMar campsite for 10 days. We booked a pitch for March/April, and even then, only small pitches of 54 square meters were available, which, given the stated width of 5.5 meters, meant they were approximately 10 meters long. As regular paying guests without an ACSI card, we were under the illusion that we, as new customers, would get a nice pitch. (Customers with ACSI cards often get the less desirable pitches). Unfortunately, this proved to be a mistake. Pitch 31, which was assigned to us, is located directly behind the reception; everyone entering or leaving the pitch has to maneuver past us. The pitch itself measured 5.7 meters wide and 8.6 meters long, which corresponds to an area of ​​49 square meters, not even taking the rounded corner into account. Furthermore, there's a frame for the summer shade structure, which further reduces the usable area. So we had no choice but to park the car diagonally across the pitch. If you have a close relationship with your car, you might like it. Not us! Often, our spot was also blocked by campers checking in. Basically, pitch 31 is at best suitable as an additional parking area for arriving guests. Next topic: noise! ​​We were warned about construction noise, but that would have been the least of our problems. The same goes for the many barking dogs on the site. And we would have tolerated the traffic noise too – after all, the site is very centrally located in Calpe. What finally pushed us over the edge, however, was the tree trimming work, which took place every day from Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with deafening noise from several power saws and a wood chipper. We like to sleep in! It was taken for granted that they could invade our pitch uninvited. Just to remind you: we rented the pitch! For €30 per day, that's equivalent to €930 per month for less than 49 square meters! The work is necessary, but given the scale and duration of the work, they should have closed the campsite. Of course, they're happy to take the money – tough luck for the "guests." A simple apology note on the sanitary block is really inadequate. Is everything really bad? No, if you can live with the noise and can get a better pitch, Camping CalpeMar is perfectly fine. Sanitary facilities, pool area, etc., are all okay. That's why it gets two stars. In any case, their attempt to win us over as future customers has failed miserably. We'd rather continue renting a house. It's more expensive, but it was always worth the money. Which is absolutely not something we can say about our stay here. Camping CalpeMar – no thanks! One more comment on other reviews: anyone claiming the campsite is quiet is either deaf or lying! Not very helpful for readers who want to be informed! Nothing good to say about this campsite! Regarding your response to my review: You state that the pruning work is carried out on the same date every year. Therefore, you could have informed me of this when I booked. At the very latest, you should have mentioned it at check-in, along with the option to cancel.
