Now I understand why the old owner's clientele hasn't returned, even me: spending 2 days there during the Moors and Christians parades, and today my daughter asks him to heat up some water for her bottle to feed her 9 month old baby... and he says NO!!!! It's the ugliest thing I've ever seen in a bar or restaurant in my life!!!! It confirms what people there say about the friendliness of the place!

We went to try it because, long ago, under the previous owners, it was one of the best places to get something to eat in Calpe, and I decided to order a portion. It was the first time in my life that I sent back a whole portion, which was all inedible batter, to avoid the resulting indigestion. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he told us "people eat it like that," and that was the end of it. He kept the whole portion, my entire money, and my last visit. Highly inadvisable.

We went to order a takeout menu and were charged €1 extra for the plastic Tupperware. When we asked for mayonnaise for the fries, they told us they'd charge us for it, so we didn't. It took a while to prepare it, and when we got home, the drink and bread were missing. The food was sparse and nothing special.
