For me, one of the best. Excellent food and unbeatable service. Highly recommended.
Restaurant for foreigners (you can imagine what you're going to find) Low-quality food at a high price. We went this weekend, and well…being on the promenade right in front of Benidorm Island is wonderful, but the food… Weekend menu (let me tell you): - Bahia Salad: basically a mixed salad, lettuce, tomato, boiled egg, onion, and not much else. Simple, but…from something so commonplace…it's like getting a salad from a restaurant buffet (awful). -Stuffed eggplants…they didn't have any…and they gave us ham croquettes: frozen croquettes from a bag, and on top of that, poorly made, lukewarm, and with a garnish that was inedible. -Arroz Banda: AWFUL. We both ordered the rice dishes, and well… to begin with, they brought the rice already poured onto our plates (in 16 years of living in Alicante, I've never seen rice served in a paella pan), lukewarm, and tasteless. Honestly… a DISASTER. -Dessert: my wife had a scoop of ice cream (chocolate, which was good), I had custard, and they weren't bad, actually the best thing on the menu, but nothing extraordinary. * In conclusion, it's NOT worth it. It's a restaurant designed for what it is, although I'm honestly a little embarrassed by these restaurants that take advantage of foreigners. The service… some waiters were good, but one older one… a despot and impertinent. Better to FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO EAT. Set menu for €20 per person (not expensive, but for what you get, it's really not worth it).
We went for afternoon tea. The service was excellent. They brought us a complimentary mini palmier pastry. The teas are served in small kettles to keep them warm, which is a nice touch. Overall, the atmosphere is lovely for enjoying afternoon tea and watching the sunset. Highly recommended.
