Excellent veterinary clinic, I really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and respectful, they make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Veterinarian Kyina is fantastic, she treats the animals with so much love and professionalism. I highly recommend this clinic; you can see the love and dedication they put into their work. Fortunately, I've now found another one 24 hours a day in Benidorm. I've been to this practice with my cat before for the exact same problem (bladder/kidney problems) and brought all the documentation and medical history with me. I only requested a continuation of an existing treatment to help my cat get through the weekend pain-free. According to veterinary regulations, in exceptional circumstances, there is room to provide continuation of treatment without a new consultation, especially when the condition is the same, the complete documentation is available, and a new clinical examination would not add value. This practice therefore had the opportunity to act flexibly and in a humane manner, but chose not to. Despite the fact that my cat was on medication (which would have made a clinical examination pointless), all the information was available, and it was the exact same problem, they strictly adhered to the internal protocol. No exceptions were considered. That feels, frankly, inhumane and unkind, because the animal is forced to suffer unnecessary pain while there's room for help. As a result, I was left without the necessary pain medication for several days, even though I had provided everything correctly and on time. For other pet owners: be aware that this practice doesn't utilize the flexibility that regulations do allow in these kinds of situations. By the way, last time about a month ago, I spent €200 for a minor checkup. And the times before that also totaled over €2500. So a minor issue like this could have been handled with a little leniency.

According to veterinary regulations, there is room in special situations to provide a continuation of treatment without requiring a new consultation — especially when it concerns the same condition, when all documentation is available, and when a clinical examination would not provide any additional information (for example, because the animal is currently under pain and stress medication). This means the clinic did have the option to act flexibly and compassionately. Unfortunately, no flexibility was shown. Despite the fact that my cat was medicated (meaning a consultation would not reveal anything clinically), and despite having all information and having been here previously for the same problem, the clinic adhered strictly to internal protocol. No exception was considered. Honestly, this felt inhumane and not in the best interest of the animal, because help was refused even though the regulations allow exceptions in cases like this. As a result, I was left without the necessary pain medication for several days, even though I had followed all procedures correctly and provided all required information. For other pet owners: please be aware that this clinic does not make use of the flexibility that veterinary regulations do allow for continuing treatments already in progress.
